Uganda’s National Citizenship and Immigration Control requires a passport copy with at least six months’ validity for tourist visa applications, while Rwanda’s Directorate General of Immigration and Emigration states that visitors should hold a genuine and acceptable travel document valid for at least six months.

Uganda operates an online immigration application system for applicable travellers, including tourist and East Africa Tourist Visa applications. A standard single-entry tourist visa is currently listed at US$50, while the East Africa Tourist Visa is listed at US$100 and allows tourism travel within Uganda, Rwanda and Kenya, subject to its conditions and entry requirements.
Rwanda has different visitor arrangements depending on nationality and visa eligibility. Its immigration authority provides information on visa waivers, visas on arrival and online applications, while also offering an East Africa Tourist Visa for eligible travellers visiting Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.

Health and Vaccinations

Travellers visiting Rwanda commonly arrive through Kigali International Airport, which is located close to Kigali and provides airport transport, health services, restaurants, shops and other passenger facilities.
