The Bunyoro Kingdom, officially known as the Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom, is one of Uganda’s oldest and most historically influential traditional kingdoms. Located in western Uganda, the kingdom traces its origins to the legendary Kitara Empire, which once extended across much of the Great Lakes region.
